I use #coracle on desktop and #primal on phone. When I compare the numbers of followers I have on each the numbers are wildly different. Why is this? I am simply curious. #asknostr

This week in #environmental #science, I was teaching on ecological niches. And the importance of biodiversity that we might not like. Students here in #Zambia generally kill snakes on sight. I am no fan of snakes either, but here is a geat article on the importance and niche of the puff adder. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-025-99550-3

@npub1yy3u...kawc was great on @TFTC talking about what #America gets wrong about China. Peter said something like this, I'd heard before, "China is not a nation, but a culture masquerading as a nation." When we pair this with the old idea that "America is not a nation, but an idea" we actually have a competition between an idea and a culture not between two nations.

This week in environmental science we are talking about useful scientific frameworks. It seems to me that most environmental issues require a basic understanding of five primary frameworks: systems theory, ecology, biogeochemistry, socio-ecologcial interactions, and energy flow. I have gone back and forth a lot on this list, and I would enjoy nostr's thoughts on these. #science #asknostr #environmental #envsci
