I straight up spent five hours looking through old transactions on my self-hosted instance of Am I Exposed?
Really cool thing to run on your node if you want to learn how to privacymaxx when spending Bitcoin.
There's stuff there I wouldn't have even thought about, like specific combinations of address types and features (e.g. if RBF is enabled) being able to fingerprint a specific wallet with high accuracy.
Also shows you where some of your coins came from if they went through a known entity, e.g. darknet markets or an exchange. A surprising amount of BTC apparently flows through Reddit? I wasn't expecting that.

Node runner once again.
BTC. XMR. Freedom maxi.
Say no to CBDCs and digital ID.
xannyblastr ranks all the relays it discovers in the web of trust via 10050 events.
Next weekend's project will be a UI for this I reckon ๐

Just staring at my own Mempool instance running off my own box, watching the blockchain my node is helping to run, it is very very cool.
I should run more nodes...
GitHub, why is this the default behaviour when you click "generate release notes" when you literally own Copilot?

Left it running overnight and fixed all the bugs I noticed and changed a lot of things to work in ways that make more sense. Imo this is a major update.
I'd say this is at the "ready for testing" phase.

Okay guys. If you want to test this idea out, my DM blaster relay, you can use my instance if you're in my web of trust. So add this as a DM inbox relay, try DMing me, see if it actually works.

Made a lot of updates to it this morning. Releasing on GitHub now. They're already running on my instance.
My wallets now use my node and my block explorer links now use my Mempool instance.
Fuck yes.
There we go.
More testing and new shit tomorrow, I'm tired boss.

GitHub
Release v1.0.3-beta: proactive relay discovery and other small improvements ยท xannythepleb/xannyblastr
New features
Proactive DM-relay discovery: on every web-of-trust refresh (startup and every wotRefreshHours), the relay now pulls kind-10050 DM re...
Preparing the next version already that'll make it much more useful much more quickly with proactive relay discovery at the same time as it refreshes WoT (every 24 hours).
Need to code some CI/CD pipelines for this shit next.

Well that took longer than I thought lmao.
A private blastr relay specifically for sending and recieving gift wrapped DMs within your own web of trust.
Hopefully this can fix DMs on Nostr.

Someone try DMing me. I'm testing something.
Dropping on GitHub shortly.
Listening to old school Eminem while vibe coding a relay is a vibe bro
Respect to brunnels (not sure if he's on Nostr) for forking Bitnodes and bringing it back!

Reachable Bitcoin Nodes
BTC Nodes estimates the size of the Bitcoin peer-to-peer network by finding all of its reachable and unreachable nodes.
So I was today years old when I learned that SimpleX fell out of fashion on Nostr because they tried to do a shitcoin.
That's a damn fucking shame. But I never did get an answer to my OP here, which was asking what we all use instead.
Nostr DMs are still as unreliable as ever. Hopefully @White Noise takes off, it's had a security audit, it's decentralised through Nostr, it's end to end encrypted of course, and it'll never do a shitcoin.
I'm on White Noise already but it doesn't support NIP-46 yet so had to make a new nsec for it. Would be great if I could just sign in with Amber and chat to my Nostr homies.

WHY did I run my node off a box with a SATA SSD? This would have been done three days ago if I had a fucking NVMe in my NUC ๐ญ
Literally taking longer than it took to sync the blockchain just for Fulcrum to index it ๐ฉ

What are we actually using for messaging these days? I don't see anyone talk about SimpleX anymore. Have we moved onto something Nostr based like @White Noise?
Extremely tempted to get the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and stick GrapheneOS on it. Last foldable I had was the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 like five years ago. Really miss having a foldable. There's a sale on the Pixel right now too...
And hey I'm writing a GrapheneOS guide so I need to buy the absolute best Pixel you can get in order to document the install experience right guys? I basically have no choice ๐
