I caught myself a cold. Yay... Here I thought my seasonal allergies were just doing a number on me, but I just feel dragged out to the max today.
Anyway, enjoy your coffee. Do a little something joyful for yourself today. Step on a crunchy leaf, sing in the car, or whatever floats your boat.

Gratefulness post: Stok now has a peppermint mocha cold brew (don't judge me). Lu is curled up snoozing in her bed next to my feet. We had a fan in the window and I was able to sleep with a comforter last night. I have a job to "go" to this morning. Hubby and I are *relatively* healthy. Found a good book to read, and have been slowly enjoying it the last few days. God is good.

Reading my morning news, I came across a link to the red carpet looks from some music event last night, and started scrolling through. I think I recognized maybe two out of the fifty or so "stars". Man, I'm getting old. I'm actually pretty okay with that, but at the same time it is a bit shocking how little I know (or care) about mainstream media or celebrity these days.
Took Lu out for her morning potty earlier, and suddenly she started hobbling, favoring her left front foot. I picked her up to look - no obvious cut or swelling, no rock or piece of something caught between her toe beans. I carried her the rest of the way home, got some video of her hobbling around the kitchen, and then she finished her breakfast and ran up the stairs to my office just like normal. :blobspin: Going to continue to monitor today to see if I need to get in with the vet, but she's sleeping normally in her bed now.
Had an okay weekend. Binged Neagley on Saturday (loved it!), and then finished a book off my TBR pile Sunday. Hubby was busy playing around creating macros for his work, and then organizing some of his piles of stuff, so it was nice to do our own things.

I'm still exhausted after all the peopling yesterday. Definitely not used to that much "on" time. Thankfully back at my quiet little desk with a candle going and a cup of coffee in hand today.

Have you ever had to pee so bad that you start rationalizing stopping on the side of the road, including any potential legal actions? Like, either I pee myself in the car, or the officer takes me in.

I'm headed into the office for Team Day today. Kind of looking forward to a little adventure. Sometimes working at home I wonder if my social skills are getting rusty. (Then I go into the office and KNOW they are.)
Got another 15 minutes before I have to boogey. I just hate waking Lu up to throw her in the car and bring her to the vet for day boarding. It would be so great if I could bring her with me.

Feeling tired and kind of achy today. Had a headache on and off for a couple days now. Guessing it's just the old hormones pulling out their usual bag of tricks, but man, I could really use a break.

It's finally starting to feel like Fall around here! I have the window cracked in my office to let a little cool air in. Got an apple-scented candle wafting its sweet notes into the room, and my sweet pup curled up in her bed at my feet.

Hubby and I went on a river cruise last night. While the boat was kind of old and in rough shape, the dinner they provided (advertised as fajitas, but really just taco fixins) and the views were fabulous. We had an amazing sunset, with pink clouds gradually darkening into cotton candy.

Quiet day here. Hubby is out putzing in the garage. Just finished my coffee and got a load of laundry in the wash while I scroll for a while.
Funny story from last night: I thought I'd try using a coconut lime exfoliating scrub I'd bought ages ago (that Hubby excavated from under the bathroom sink), and rubbed it into both arms and left leg. Quickly realized that it was slimy and wasn't washing off. Seeing as how I was in the shower, I wasn't really using my nose at the time, so when I did take a sniff, I got a rotten/sour smell and realized the oil in it had gone rancid. I then proceeded to take another shower, this time using a combination of shampoo and Hubby's body wash to rinse the stink off me. The smell was all over the bathroom and bedroom for ages. We had to use a liberal dose of air fresheners to get rid of it. :blobnauseated:
The expiration date on the container said the end of this month, so I thought I was safe. Lesson learned: always smell your shower products before applying.

My dog has officially had enough of her cone. I have to step in and help when she tries to scratch her ear. Now she's attempting to lick my leg, and simultaneously scratching me with the plastic as she pushes closer. This week cannot go fast enough. :blobdisapproval:
