Simply Bitcoin and
@gladstein charting the rise and spread of btc, the people's money. It is such a simple and powerful idea gradually being understood by minds in so many different sectors of society. From Marxists to capitalists, individuals to nations, businesses to businesses' customers...sound money enables so much, releases so much.
I didn't think there was anything wrong with the term sats until someone asked about the difference between sats and Bitcoin. The person isnt' thick, but when you say "sats" are like the pennies of Bitcoin. Then they ask why call them sats, and you mention satoshi, and Next thing it's a swamp of info. Bits and Bitcoin now makes more sense.
After an hour scrolling through the Nostr global feed, it looks like a mixed bag out there, but next to nothing NFFW. If anything, a bit boring, with little material outside politics and economics, no #paint or #construction chat. A touch of music, bunch of memes. Large proportion of posts from non English-speaking accounts; more bitcoin posts than any other topic but not so overwhelming as to identify Nostr as a bitcoin platform.
It is Sunday so maybe it changes in the week, but my takeaway would be Nostr is a tiny platform, like miniscule, with little interaction. Nostr users are beyond early. Build it and they will come isn't a great tactic for raising awareness. That's OK, there's time to spread the word that this social media network, however small, is global, is not moderated by 3rd parties, has no algorithms foisted on users, and it works!
Maybe the best path to growth is to focus on selling the advantages of the Nostr tech stack to owners of other social media platforms so they can run a massive userbase with next to no outgoings.
A superb mystery series from Australia, Secrets and Lies. 4 hours with a stunning final twist. I mention it because the lead character is a housepainter. He could have had an even nicer house and lifestyle were he able to #paint as well as he could act. In other words, don't take rolling tips and window painting tips from this movie. It was legit how he bid the jobs though!

Alternative systems are begging to be launched.
How many times can you fall through the gaps in #construction? To insulate the exterior of a property (EWI) is by far the most energy efficient approach to keeping a leaky house warm in winter, cool in summer.
Rockwool slabs are an excellent breathable insulator that also has high fire retardant and sound proofing values. Breathable lime based render is by far the most healthy and eco friendly coating for exterior and interior walls in a house. Painted with limewash.... Combine those materials and you won't have condensation, mould or draught issues
So how come it is so hard to find an EWI system that allows for all those materials to work together! The recommended adhesives and basecoats are not breathable, nor eco friendly. Expanded Polysytrene and similar isocyanate products are literally flammable hell on earth...
The world is full of opportunity. The trick is to work out the balances. Work v leisure, income v tax, pleasure v Pain. Invariably the govt is the factor creating doubt and reasons why not.
It was never like that.
I used to "brag" that a good thing about the UK was its pro business environment. No more. I used to think suffocating legislation was a Spanish thing, but that's rubbish. It's a European wide phenomenon.
Por favor, can the 30 somethings please rise Up as one and say "no more". And adopt a Bitcoin standard. Otherwise our economic future is just a slow train wreck.

I was thinking of doing a series of reactions to "Painting tip" videos..but it's a cheap shot really. Having made a few demo videos for the trade, it is a lot of work to present a technique with no fluff. And so easy to find fault.
So here's a compromise.
My insightful takeaway from this video. Don't fall downstairs with a full tin of #paint. Such a waste of money. 20€ worth in the can, 100€ worth on the wall
It's humbling to know people Who are Kinder than you are.
Watched Trainspotting for the first time. Better late than never. Those tenement blocks could have done with a good coat of paint.

If you like Pink Floyd and wonder what they must have been like at their creative peak, check out Steven Wilson. He appears to leave his ego outside the studio door, and by pairing the best musicians for the job to each round of new songs, he still has years left in his creative tank.
eg could David Gilmour have played the final solo on this track? Play it maybe, but jam this first take and nail it to the point it is unedited? Nope. Inviting Guthrie Govan to participate on an album or two is one simple example of the genius touch packaged up in many SW songs! Back to painting.
