Exciting news for Health Savings Account (HSA) users!
The One Big Beautiful Bill has been passed with some major changes for HSAs:
- Permanently allows HDHPs to waive deductibles for telehealth services, keeping them HSA-compatible
- Expands HSA eligibility to all Bronze and Catastrophic ACA plans
- Allows Direct Primary Care (DPC) memberships to coexist with HSAs, with reimbursable fees up to $150/individual or $300/family per month
- No longer disqualifies HSA use for employees with access to on-site employer clinics
These changes take effect starting December 31, 2024 (telehealth) and December 31, 2025 (all other updates).
