Bitcoin hashrate just reached all-time highs. The Bitcoin network is now doing 1.25 sextillion calculations per second. Per @Cole_Walmsley on X 1.25 sextillion seconds is 39.6 trillion years. That's 2,870x longer than the existence of the entire universe. Bitcoin calculates 2,870x the length of the universe EVERY SECOND. There are 86,400 seconds in a day. That means Bitcoin calculates 248 MILLION times the length of the universe every day.
