Why do so many people claim that Telegram is private, or that I am against Telegram? Telegram does not encrypt chats by default, nor does it encrypt groups, and it stores everything on its servers. What more proof do you need? That Pavel Durov fucks your mother? I was going to compare Telegram to Zcash, but not even that.

It's also a lot of fun not to have WhatsApp. When people say, "I'll send it to you on WhatsApp," I tell them I don't have WhatsApp. And they ask me, "How do you talk to your friends?" I don't have any friends. "What about your wife?" I don't talk to my wife. I just whisper to horses.

Even with Signal, which is open source, we cannot know who is running the server, but we can verify the client code and ensure that it encrypts all outputs and that the binaries are reproducible. With SimpleX, this goes even further because we can run our own receiving server, mitigating many risks. But with WhatsApp? πŸ˜‚ It's easier to find an honest politician or a unicorn. I'm pretty pissed off about stablecoins. They've really proven to be even more dangerous than shitcoins. They're Bitcoin's real enemy, and even though that's clearer now than ever, lots of influencers are promoting products related to them, like loans, lending, and other crap, or protocols that support them, or the new Citrea crap. Stablecoins are nothing more than the digital dollar, and by promoting their use, you are only promoting the use of the dollar to the detriment of Bitcoin. And having to listen to Bitcoiners saying that stablecoins are very useful for certain groups in certain countries... It's a shame I don't have you in front of me so I can repeatedly hit you over the head with a hammer. The worst strategists in history.

Anyone who calls themselves a Bitcoiner and uses stablecoins or develops wallets or protocols that support stablecoins is stupid. image

Anyone who says Signal isn't private doesn't understand anything about cryptography. Metadata is another matter. Signal is private but not anonymous, Simplex is private and anonymous (or tries to be anonymous because data correlation attacks can be carried out). Although advances have been made in Signal, information can still be gleaned from metadata, such as the last time you were connected or that the server knows the recipient of the message, i.e., who you are sending it to. That said, Signal is the gold standard for privacy and is more proven than Simplex. In fact, Signal has been a pioneer in many ways. Both Simplex and Signal are two tools you need and can have different use cases.

And that's why I haven't had WhatsApp for many years. If someone can't spare five minutes of their life to install Signal or Simplex, then they don't deserve to talk to me. image
