Valve seems to be the only company that didn’t go full corporate like every other big tech company founded by a group of nerds. A lot of those companies went downhill in terms of management (even while making tons of money) because the nerds convinced themselves they knew nothing about running a business, so they either tried to become managers overnight or hired Ivy League frat guys to do it for them. I wonder if there’s any hope that executives might see this and realize it could be better to create a more open environment for competent people.

Um dos fulanos riu da piada, mas tentou fazer outra em cima: "o cara fica pagando pra não estudar, mano". Na hora eu nem percebi o que ele quis dizer, só respondi: "não era privada, era pública". O corno ficou de cara fechada comigo o dia inteiro. Eu, sendo o autista que sou, só fui perceber depois o que tinha acontecido. Depois descobri que ele se formou numa uniesquina. Nem imaginei que alguém pudesse sentir inveja disso, até porque ocupamos cargos semelhantes.
