The DLC campaigns are easily the strongest part of the game. That says a lot since I usually dislike DLC. They are short if you skip grinding, but the focus is much sharper than the base game. Each character reworks the combat in meaningful ways. Movesets are more expressive and give you options the main campaign never reaches. Comboing feels better because enemy positioning matters more and the kits are built around that.
Some scenarios feel closer to a beat em up and it really refines the system into something more fun to explore. The stories felt much better to play through and expanded on the world. I love some of the characters, and the small amount of fanservice is quite good. Rajaki best girl and very Powrina-coded.

Pragmata
The game mixes shooting with real time puzzles. It feels fresh at first, but the systems start to clash over time.
The game gives you many tools but does not let you specialize, unless you are constantly going back to the base. Encounters push you to use everything. Returning to base every few fights makes progression feel controlled instead of player driven. There is also a sense of bloat through the whole game. Extra mechanics and interactions keep getting added and pull focus away from the core combat loop.
Movement inertia combined with a Bayonetta style dodge creates a mismatch. The game asks for precision but also adds useless weight. Combat ends up feeling like thin layered ideas rather than a single cohesive system. There are moments where it works, like enemy pressure and positioning can create strong encounters even if the enemies don't account for one another, and shooting feels good outside of some (a bit) spongey enemies. Still, the heavy reliance on hacking and exploiting of it makes it hard to see it as a proper shooter, and that is fine for something that is exploring a new type of gameplay, but it gets tiresome towards the end and noisy as it addes more mechanics, some obligatory to use/go through.
The story is generic and Diana does not elevate it. If you want to call something a masterpiece just because it has loli, VNs are right there for you and provide much better stories. And yes, Diana is very cute.

Pokemon Lazarus
Pokémon Lazarus is a solid option if you want a tougher take on Pokémon. The difficulty stays consistent, although it's not too extreme, just what I would call the right amount for new players and old players. It avoids the usual problem where you outlevel everything, but even outleveled you still need to think during fights. The story is good and it explores ideas the official games usually avoid. The scope can feel too big at times, so going for full completion can get overwhelming.
The side quests stand out the most since they expand the monster catching idea in ways that feel meaningful. This is ROM is what I wish the official Pokemon games were.
