An hour and 40 minutes into my 10 hour shift today, ahead of my 3 day weekend. Hoping my lungs can hold out. Thankfully sinuses seem like they may be getting better.
Keeping watch on Bitcoin today; a $5000 rise in price turns this red year green. If I were institutions I might be inclined to make it a green candle just to keep the pleb 4 year cycle superstitions intact, like Columbus threatening to steal the sun.
Not to disrespect natives by suggesting they were as foolish as this 4 year cycle narrative.

Re: collaborative custody and privacy, Tony Yazback should see BIP89: Chaincode Delegation.
It let's you rely on someone to hold a backup key without letting them see what's in the wallet.
That is, have your cake and eat it too.

Been running into some performance issues with Coracle and Nostrudel lately, and even Snort.social has been a little less than stellar on my admittedly paleolithic desktop. Decided to check out nostrapps for the latest stuff as I keep hearing about all the development people are doing, and decided to give Nostria.app a look. Really like the ability to filter for recent activity to sort of "catch up" (though it is incremented, rather than "since my last visit", but still, something of a nice UX).
Always nice to have another client to play with. Gonna have to look at these AI tools I see it mentioned it has...

Pulling out the big guns today, pseudoephedrine + caffeine.
Annoyed I have to work; as long as I can be on the elliptical I feel great, but after half hour to an hour of sitting around I'm back to feeling like shit again. I'd be happy to just spend all day watching TV running on that thing. My legs may fall off by the end of the day, but I'd have more to show for that discomfort.
There are also few greater pleasures in life than an ice cold shower after a run, especially in winter when ice cold really means ice cold.
Anyway, gonna try to hang in there today -- thankfully I have a few hours off the phone today. Hoping I feel better tomorrow because that one's a 10 hour day of straight phone time...
In other news, it's my dog Dakota's first birthday! Pics to follow in a reply; typing this on desktop.

Today I learned that "pussy" actually has a much different etymology than I might have expected, being a short form of "pusillanimous", adj, "early 15c., pusillanimus, "timid, lacking strength and firmness of mind," from Late Latin pusillanimis "having little courage" (used in Church Latin to translate Greek oligopsykhos "small-souled"), from Latin pusillis "very weak, little" (diminutive of pullus "young animal," from PIE root *pau- (1) "few, little") + animus "spirit, courage" (see animus). Related: Pusillanimously; pusillanimousness."
Pussy as a reference to female genitalia came late 19th century.
