The fuel you put in an engine determines its output. And Bitcoin's purchasing power is a finite value that grows because humans usually produce more over time. If fiat debt makes the humans produce less, the Bitcoin will stagnate too. Buying Bitcoin and doing nothing just gives you a first class ticket on the Titanic.
