I agree with the sentiment, but I'm not going to prison and leaving my family to clean up the mess just to not pay taxes for maybe two or three years. Maybe if more than half my country was doing it at the same time, but not right now. In my opinion, this would be a retarded waste of my life and would make zero impact. Doing what I'm doing now is a better way for me. Do I resist a little in some ways I won't say here? Yes. But a slave sometimes has to resist in a sly, roundabout way gradually. We all have our paths. I don't necessarily look down on anyone for going the full resistance route. It just isn't for me right now, and I afford the same to everyone else. Maybe I'm being elitist or unfair (let me know), but I don't give a fuck about a person's opinion on #Bitcoin if they meet any of the following conditions: 1. If they have any Bitcoin, it's on an exchange and none is in cold storage. 2. They've never sent and/or received Bitcoin on chain or on another layer (Lightning, etc) to buy/sell something or to send value for some other reason (donation, zaps, etc). 3. They don't know what the difficulty adjustment is. I'm willing to help someone do these things if they genuinely want to understand Bitcoin, but I'm not going to argue or defend my position with these people. It's a waste of my time and energy.

I feel sympathy for people who lose employment, but our government is way too large and we shouldn't be economically dependent on it. That's a conflict of interest that causes a cycle of greater dependence and larger government. Government spending also shouldn't be such a large percentage of economic activity. View quoted note →
