Props to the person who discovered cheese. Taking a bite of something you're expecting to taste like milk and just going with it? Savage.

GM I'm glad I started looking into what my transactions look like once they hit the blockchain. I need to clean up my stuff cause how I use lightning and liquid is not as private as I had assumed. The privacy benefits only come if you are very VERY intentional, I need to stop sugarcoating it for newbies.

I've strayed away from any sort of chain-analysis stuff in the past as it was a learning curve I wasn't ready to eat yet. As I was making a lighting payment today, I decided to see how private my transaction was. Context, I was using Phoenix Wallet to make a payment to an on-chain btc address. I was able to spot my transaction relatively quickly and noticed that my LN channel size was also viewable from the block. Is that simply because I made an on-chain purchase? What should I be doing to make sure that information isn't revealed? #asknostr #grownostr

I use to stress out about people getting into bitcoin later than me but having the ability to amass much more than me in a short period of time. Then I realized that the vast majority of these people will run back to fiat at the first sign of trouble. The value of being surrounded by a bunch of toxic psychopaths, for me, is that we've grown together and help each other to persevere until we are convinced in mind and body that we will never sell. I appreciate you freaks #grownostr #plebchain

GM #Nostr I wrote a blog post teaching newbies how to buy nonKYC Bitcoin based on my earlier post this week and thought I would share it with you guys for some recommendations before I share it out with everyone else. https://noeljbass.me/Beginners-Guide-To-Buying-Bitcoin #grownostr #bitcoin

My wife just got her holistic health practitioners license. It's a weird transition from "recommending" certain products to her clients, verses having the ability to send them a curated script list with nothing but a peace of paper in between.

LNproxy is a straightforward privacy tool designed to enhance the confidentiality of lightning invoices. It provides users of custodial Lightning wallets with improved payment destination privacy, while also offering greater receiver privacy for those running their own nodes. At present, every Lightning invoice includes the public key of the destination node. Since this key is fixed, if one invoice is associated with you, it becomes possible to infer that all subsequent invoices are also generated by you, leading to the assumption that payments are directed to you. https://lnproxy.org/

good grief, I didn't realize how much trauma I carried from failed lightning network projects gone wrong. I've already blasted @Ivan and @Logen this morning before my cup o' tea or even a GM. Sorry ya'll.

My wife has been in contact with my Secret Santa, who wanted a better Wishlist than what I provided: "Socks. Boxers. Bitcoin." Nobody in my family has yet been willing to learn how to buy sats. image

I noticed that when I make a big deal about people buying #bitcoin for the first time #nonKYC, they are more likely to buy than if I say, "Just buy some on CashApp." Something about telling people they can pull one over on their tyrant overlords seems to help the orange pill go down easier. Here is my walkthrough process for new people: 1. Download Aqua Wallet 2. I send them 10k sats 3. Download Tor 4. Navigate to Robosats 5. Use your 10k sats as a down payment retainer to buy your sats 6. Keep stacking to 2-5 mil sats 7. Buy/Setup a Blockstream Jade 8. Send your sats into your newly created cold storage wallet but keep about 100k in Aqua wallet 9. Repeat 6-8
