Swear to God I hate Spotify with a passion 😭😭😭 they just emailed me this bullshit basically saying hey every month we want to charge you the artist $200 ($100 for Marquee promotion and $100 for Showcase promotion) or we're shadow banning your music to the masses they even got a third choice called Discovery mode where the artist doesn't pay Spotify up front but Spotify takes a 30% cut of your royalties for promoting your music and mind you their average pay out is around $.001 per stream and you have to have over 1000 streams on each song every year for Spotify to pay you 🤦🏿‍♂️this is a huge reason why I'm moving my catalog to Wavlake the whole pay for play model is why the quality of mainstream music went to shit over the years why so many talentless acts are championed in every genre right now and why I thank value 4 value is the real wave of the future and I'm not looking to add on a new unnecessary bill 🤦🏿‍♂️
