One of the main reasons I'm here on nostr is to stay in the loop at the forefront of self hosting, internet comms, development (including AI), bitcoin, lightning, and secondary to doomscroll people who are blooming. So, here's me saying, I do not mind at all people talking about their lobster claws or anything like that. I enjoy it. Cheers! I will not let my skills become dull, and so far being involved with nostr is 100% helping me do that.

auth.nostr1.com is a NIP17 DM relay (and NIP04 for that matter), maybe even white noise I have no idea there. I fat fingered some maintenance on auth.nostr1.com. I was going to delete all up to 2 weeks, but I deleted everything. Anyway, I have been thinking what to do with this relay, as being completely free does not help nostr grow and everything with NIP42-AUTH has been tested (which was it's original purpose). The balance due on this relay is 202037 sats. If anyone in the ecosystem thinks I should keep this running and wants to help cover the cost let me know by zapping or donating to the relay directly. Then I will continue to run it and expire messages after 2 weeks. If not, it will be shut down in 2 weeks and we can all pivot to our own NIP17 DM relays. NIP17 DM relays are easy to create on relay.tools, the same settings this relay uses are available directly in the UI. Also, haven, and various other relay software fully support NIP17 as well. #grownostr cc @Vitor Pamplona you may want to change amethyst relay selection box based on this announcement.

@PABLOF7z I've been providing a purplepag.es mirror since 2024-06 but I noticed it no longer can stream, .. unsure why or when this happened but I'm guessing it was after you upgraded your server. I saw you supported negentropy but strfry just says Unexpected message from relay: ["NOTICE","failed to parse envelope: unknown envelope label"] The mirror is very stale now, I wonder if there's a way to fix it. I can't exactly modify strfry's negentropy support 1.0.4 very easily.. Just trying to help decentralize the network. The relay was profiles.nostr1.com

Relay Tools special bulletin: relay.tools and nostr1.com root domain nip05s are now available (only) to relay owners and moderators. You can find them in the NIP05 menu.

@Silberengel , going to attempt a filter of thecitadel now. this will require some time during which the relay will have no events (but will still be online and accepting new ones).. then i will backfill the filtered ones.

i wonder what the next generation version of nomachineNX is for wayland. I haven't had much luck finding anything. I can use Xorg again (this is on a server.. hrm, but will it work with a wayland on the client? probably not). Ancient tech was better I guess.. Well, I guess I better get my cave paints out.
