In 2010 Satoshi himself gave lots of insight on what the network should do in case of the quantum threat or a break in SHA-256 (from the Book of Satoshi chapter 40)
Four easy steps on how to orange pill anyone in a few days (from a successful ex missionary):
1 - never mention bitcoin first
Bringing up the word causes cognitive dissonance and reinforces belief in the fiat system. This will never work, unless they already had a planted seed. This phenomenon has been proven by neuroscience (Sam Harris studies on belief)
2 - start with explaining the fiat system (central banking, state controlled money, Cantillion effects, centralization…)
The point is to get them to question the system they live in first. If they push back and defend it, just listen and do not argue (pushback means they want to be understood - it’s not an attack on BTC). Do not proceed until they understand and start looking for solutions.
3 - once they understand that the fiat system is broken money - propose BTC as the solution.
Focus on the elements of Bitcoin that makes it different than fiat (most decentralized, differences between BTC and “crypto”, positive sum game, separation of money and state, competitive market cap and growing adoption), do not ask them to buy Bitcoin ever - this needs to be their idea and decision
4- When they tell you they want to buy, pushback by telling them to simply buy a small fraction first and offer to teach them more (how to use lightning to spend with merchants or how to send to a hot/cold wallet for long term storage)
This is a healthier way to help them on the journey. They will buy more as they increase understanding and become more sovereign over time.
It also reduces risk and reinforces that it’s not a “get rich quick” scheme. Plus you can show them how to use it as money instead of simply a store of value.
Attachment to “self” or “ego” identity is the greatest delusion of the human mind. It serves no purpose other than to divide.
Renouncing it leads to inner peace and unity. Reenforcing it leads to division and the eventual end of the human race.
Attachment to self identity is greatest delusion of the human mind.
Seeing through this leads to inner peace. Remaining in it leads to the end of the human race.
