Does anyone know why Signal isn't on zapstore anymore? There are a few other non-nostr native apps that come up in search but when I click on them it says they're no longer available.

Every time I open Facebook I get the urge to post about Bitcoin and open-source. The only problem is that it's impossible to get people's attention without ragebait.

All I want to do is set a keybind to open a new terminal window in MacOS and I've been at this for hours. What in the GUI hellscape is this.

Not long ago I was averaging 7-8 hours a day on my phone if not more. I scrolled on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and Snapchat. Now I only use my iPhone for work/travel and a Pixel running GrapheneOS for personal use. It is so much easier to be intentional on GrapheneOS because nothing is collecting data to get my attention or sell me something. I've also unsubscribed from almost everything and started self-hosting open-source alternatives. It takes a long time to make the switch but I've learned a lot and every minute spent on it hasn't been spent scrolling. I've limited socials to Nostr and browser based Instagram and Reddit. The only time I see an add on GrapheneOS is when I'm on Instagram and in general the phone doesn't spy on me. My life is more intentional because I have more mental clarity and time to focus on things that matter instead of burning hours on being a product. My point in sharing this is that there are hidden costs in using big tech and almost every subscription you're paying for. I also want to encourage you to try out open-source alternatives, self-hosting, GrapheneOS, and Linux. It takes a long time but the change has been worth it.

I think I'm getting there with degoogling.
