Kids taught themselves all about reptiles through a genuine curiosity and desire to learn. They researched about what would be the best breed of snake for them, their habitat, diet, and home. They create little structures for her tank instead of buying them. All self taught AND remembered then put to use. All on their own. All under 10. The snake is still alive and thriving a year later. Love this style of #education they’re getting!

#Homeschooling allows my kids to sleep the appropriate amount of time, eat high quality foods for all of their meals, and time to be curious and creative during and outside of “school”. I’m sure you’ve seen similar posts by way too many people, but it’s because the impact of homeschooling is truly remarkable. At our holiday parties we noticed our kids were confidently engaged with conversations, listening, and asking thoughtful questions. Homeschooling in December has been so nice. Slowing it down, taking time for slow starts and not feeling the rush to check so many things off the list. Kids are still learning just as much - not sure why this is only a “December” thing.

My kids are learning they can just do things. Kinda like you can with #Bitcoin Whatever they have an interest in, we pursue it. Today our egg shell geodes finished (because we don’t have a million years to make real ones). Also, we had a ton of almonds so they made almond butter from scratch - no where near @Oshi (推し) level but still good. #homeschool and #bitcoin - you can just do things. Finding they go hand in hand

My kids got more than an art lesson surrounded by the beautiful Costa Rican jungle. They experienced the kindness of a young artist who took time from her day to teach my kids new techniques and confidence. They learned about the land, animals, and some new words. They created a product they’re proud of and a beautiful memory to hang and keep forever. I know that homeschooling is the right path - it’s teaching beyond the subject. The skills they’re developing, observing, learning can’t be taught from a desk. #homeschooling

When we decided to homeschool I never would have thought it would allow my kids the opportunities they have had in the past three years. They could have just been sitting in a desk with white cinder block walls and fluorescent lights learning about Central America - instead they were able to experience it in real life. We ALL learned so much about the amazing culture, microclimates, animals, flora and fauna, food, genuine kind people. The list could go on forever. It was amazing. Another #homeschool for the win moment. #homeschool #foreverlearning

GM Gave a 6 year old some paper, paint brushes, water color, and unlimited time. What I’m most impressed with was his focus because he had the autonomy over the outcome. Of course kids need guidance, healthy examples, structure, etc … but without allowing autonomy, kids are never going to develop confidence, time to explore their interest, critical, thinking skills and so much more. #homeschooling #autonomy
