The Second Amendment doesn't come with an asterisk. For nearly a century, the National Firearms Act has been manipulated by unelected bureaucrats at the ATF to strip the rights of law-abiding citizens. We already secured the elimination of the $200 NFA tax stamp through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act but that was just the beginning. I must repeal the NFA entirely and dissolve the ATF once and for all. The right to keep and bear arms belongs to the people, not to a government agency that has shown time and again it cannot be trusted to uphold the Constitution. If the ATF can't serve the people within the framework of the Constitution, it has no place in our government.

Did you know that 75% of federal spending is on complete autopilot? Congress only reviews about a quarter of what your government spends every year. Meanwhile, we're sitting on $39 trillion in national debt with more than 60% of it piled up in just the last 18 years. The Founders never intended this. Thomas Jefferson himself called for constitutional limits on the government's power to borrow. That's the spirit behind my Balanced Budget Amendment. Cap the debt, balance the books, and hold the President accountable if spending doesn't get cut. Americans have to live within their means. Washington should too.

Washington rewards people who go along to get along. That's how we got $39 trillion in debt. The Freedom Caucus exists because some of us refuse to trade away your future for a pat on the back from leadership. Principles aren't negotiable.

The ATF just denied a law-abiding gun owner's application because he wrote "exercise my God given right" as his reason for wanting to own a suppressor and short-barreled rifle. The ATF called that insufficient. Let that sink in. This is not a bureaucracy that needs better leadership or a few tweaks. An agency that makes Americans justify their constitutional rights and then rejects the answer has no business existing. I've introduced legislation to repeal the NFA and abolish the ATF. That's where this has to go.

Calvin Coolidge cut taxes, slashed spending, paid down the debt, and got Washington out of the way. Result? The Roaring Twenties with a booming economy, rising wages, real opportunity for working families. Silent Cal trusted free markets and the American people. Not the bureaucrats. In today's Washington, we need that same bold approach: less spending, less interference, more freedom. No more blank checks for failing programs. No tinkering. Real reform. Stop subsidizing insurance companies. Give individuals the same tax break employers get today. Let people shop for the networks, doctors, and benefits that actually work for them. When patients control the money, prices drop and transparency happens naturally. That's how markets work.
