Gosh, I didn’t realise that the City Hatters in Melbourne still existed. I left Melbourne in 2000 and I remember visiting this store in the early 1980s, plus Henry Bucks across the road and of course Chloe's Bar at Young & Jackson’s across the road. She still hangs there. I’m sure the bar has sadly modernised. Then there’s Pellegrini's Espresso Bar, Sisto was beautiful and always a huge ā€œciao bellaā€ from him when I walked in. High tea at the Hotel Windsor with musical quartet on Sunday afternoons. Lunch at the Hilton then walk to the MCG for a football game. So many more memories I could list. My goodness, where did all that come from? A flood of memories from one ā€œmad hatterā€. :)
