❓Question. Do you have doors but no lock in them? Because what do you even need that lock for? I know at least three ways to bypass it.
Actually, why do you need doors at all? Are they reinforced anti-burglary ones or made of cardboard? Hang a piece of cloth in their place - it’ll be cheaper. Because if someone wants to get in, they’ll get in anyway, and they’ll just destroy the door, which is a waste of money and time to replace. A piece of cloth costs $5 and you don’t need to call a professional to install it.
In countries like Venezuela, people have bars on their windows because they know that without them they are an easy target for thieves. In this way, they signal that thieves are not welcome. This system has its sad side. Such bars on windows are often seen in countries with high crime rates.
On the other hand, in countries like Norway, people often don’t lock their doors at all, and the doors simply serve to keep the heat from escaping in winter.
Bitcoin’s situation is much closer to the Venezuelan variant than the Norwegian one. We need to arm ourselves because the environment we operate in has its eye on us and wants to destroy us. BIP-110 is the equivalent of window bars, locks, and reinforced doors. When fiat collapses, we can think about whether to replace the doors with a piece of cloth.
