Curious designer building projects on bitcoin. I share what I learn and how I'm doing it. https://buoybitcoin.com - Compare bitcoin-only services https://dittotranscriptgenerator.com - Privacy-first transcript extractor https://www.breen.studio - Infographic posters
Started working on a Star Wars poster before I even finished the Batman poster. Genuine quality logos in the Star Wars universe: image
Rereading this rings so true: “You have to face challenges and go out on adventures so you can build character. You will not only be interesting to people, but that character is also needed to provide a stable framework that can handle the chaos of life.”
Added these Batman symbols to the poster today which is almost complete. The top-left one was the bat-symbol used in the first digitally made comic book back in '91. The top-right one is when Batman was a priest. image
I see the same pattern again watching an interview with James Cowling: you need stepping stones to combat the unknown unknowns. I need to learn how to discipline myself doing this.
New realization reading Tony Dinh’s book: instead of creating a complete poster (i.e. every bat-symbol out there) which would take way too long, break it up into a smaller sub-section and see if it gets bought. If so, work towards completion.
YouTube renamed their transcript segment elements which affected the quality of transcript extraction by Ditto. I've fixed the issue and re-uploaded it on the Chrome store. It should be working in 24h.
I hope I didn't miss one... I've been going through every Batman movie to document the bat-symbol he wears in each. The bigger goal is to create the definitive Batman logo poster: every bat-symbol from film, TV, and comics in one place. image
Added 4 new bat-symbols to the WIP Batman poster. The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul seems to be a one of but interesting chest-symbol. image
Added these bat-symbols to the poster today. The amount of bat-suits with alternative symbols alone would make a nice poster. image
I'm creating a poster with all the bat-symbols but i have clearly underestimated the amount of variations and characters with each their own logo. Batzarro, Living Gotham City Batman, Gargoyle of Gotham and the Dark Multiverse to name a few. image
The more i learn about our current deb-based system the more I'm convinced the central theme is: extraction.
Installed OpenClaw and managed to kill it after 30 minutes. Spent all evening reviving it, but he’s back!
Reading ‘On Writing Well’ by William Zinsser and it helps me a lot with writing articles! Great recommendation by Jason Cohen because it confirms what I found intuitively to be true but lacked confidence to implement.
Great new insight from Jeff Booth's interview with Brandon on the Sovreign podcast: Nuclear energy = abundant energy = deflationary. And because deflation is bad for the debt-based system, it had to be stopped. image
Been reading the book list on Jeff Booth’s website and loving it so far. Not a big fan of Simple Rules by Donald Sull I’m reading now. I’m getting lost in the detailed case studies similar to the $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. Feels like fluff to me.
Working on animating the Ditto logo for my design portfolio: image It's a free open-source transcript extractor.
