Watching us win the gold for the first time in 46 years was incredible enough, but seeing the team bring the kids of their former friend and teammate out onto the ice to join the team in the celebration gave me emotions that I struggle to find words to explain.
Hopeful.
My poor dad is stressed out about what type of world his grandkids are going to grow up in. Currently he’s toiling over the decision of what type of account to make contributions to for them: a 529 plan or the new “trump account” IRA for under-18 year olds.
The idea of college will be long dead by the time my toddler turns 18.
If he maxed out that IRA for 18 years it still wouldn’t go as far as half a coin at $70k a coin. Also they wouldn’t have to wait until the year 2090 to access it without penalty.
Gold and silver bugs are having a blast right now, but I would bet they’re not able to fully enjoy this moment to the fullest.
Cuz they know… we comin.
