So why am I here? I guess I believe that decentralisation is important. Convenient decentralisation that becomes mainstream, is even better. We need decentralisation in the following 1. Our money 2. Our identity (and proof of human) 3. Our data & preferences In the digital sphere these I hope will be non-negotiable and I believe these to be fundamental to preserving our humanity. Decentralised systems and protocols will, I believe, both free us and drive an era of innovation and growth that is robust and anti fragile. I’m not saying utopia awaits, I’m too pragmatic, but as Jeff Both articulates in his awesome book - I see the grass roots of a better system with better outcomes. So while I’ll remain firmly tied to the current system, I’m so glad to be stacking Bitcoin and building a presence in what I hope is a very important protocol that’s part of the move to a more decentralised future!
