Pain point: Signing in with Primal iOS app as they said on the primal.net did not help to post stuff. I could read the feed as usual, but I could not post images. They were asking for remote signer. unreachable. Log out and log in with Peridot (web client). Same issues while posting images, but Peridot did provide the signing and it helped. I can see why new users of #nostr will be turned away. You do not have these #newbie pain points in other networking apps. I can appreciate why these are needed, but I also must write that we need swifter onboarding for people who'd like to use nostr. #rant (ignore this post if you do not like it)

There is a difference between logging in with bunker id versus with nsec1. I tried using Clave bunker url to connect to ditto.pub, the. connection went through but I could not post anything as Clave kept giving me notifications and nothing was approved. So the images did not upload. Signed out and back in with nsec1... and now I can upload images. Is this an intended behaviour? #asknostr #newbie

The big difference between big or closed social (Facebook, Instagram, X), and open social is the content of discussions. Open social is more varied compared with the narrow focus of big social on politics and strife. On the other hand the focus of open social can sometime be narrow as too tech focused that turns off the “average” user who looks for celebrity gossips & ringside views of arguments on issues where he has some first hand experience. #rant

Works with yakihome. You basically copy the nostrconnect key, add to peridot, and it detects. If it does so, you know it will work. If that does not happen, then that app will not work with peridot.
