Honest question… can I or should I use my Mk 5 cc IF I generate my OWN 256 seed???? This is a new unused wallet.

My dad asked if he should move his stack over to a “25 word” cold wallet from an existing “24 word” cold wallet. I can make an argument for either decisions. Any helpful suggestions please.
