A couple of years ago an older guy wanted to meet to discuss cold storage. He planned to buy 15 bitcoin and wanted to store them correctly.
After watching him fail to get into his bank account on several attempts and then scrolling in his contacts for passwords, I looked him dead in the eye and said:
“I’ve never told anyone this before. But please, just buy the ETF.”
I’ll often be talking with people about someone else when they aren’t there.
Then when they get there I tell them what we said. And the others look at my like “why would you tell him that?”
Because I won’t say things about you behind your back I wouldn’t say to your face.
I was always told that 128 bits of entropy is just as secure (practically speaking) as 256 bits of entropy because 128 bits is secure enough.
Is that true?
