Hi, today I’m 34. I had a great year and I hope the next year will be even better. Here are 42 things that I want to share (I tried to write 35 notes but I ended up with 42). I wrote this in a 30-minute sprint, so I didn't include specific credits. These lines are a mix of direct quotes and my own adaptations. Heavily influenced by @Naval , @Gigi , Marcus Aurelius, Satoshi Nakamoto and many other great minds. 1. Time is the ultimate currency, no one can beat time; 2. Cultivate your mind, it is all you have; 3. You know more than you know you know (Trust your gut); 4. You should not be bothered by any information reaching you from outside your inner circle; 5. Money can make you happy under two terms: (1) you earned it by yourself; (2) you earned it honestly; 6. You want to earn money from your judgment, not from labor; 7. A man lives twice, the second time begins when he realizes he only lives once; 8. Peace is found in faith, not in stability; 9. Nature reveals truth; 10. Life becomes easier when you realize it's a single-player game, and your only opponent is yourself; 11. Minimize victimhood. Maximize agency; 12. The more unapologetic, the more silent inside; 13. Talk to yourself. Write it down. Publish it, if you want; 14. Volatility is a gift for the believer. No volatility = dead; 15. Everyone's opinion is good for everyone, not for you; 16. You can meditate anytime; 17. Guard your attention; 18. Keep search function always on. Find the people, art, places and work that you want the most; 19. Make dogs love you; 20. Life is the most amazing thing that will ever happen to you, just enjoy it; 21. Surround yourself with calm, happy and optimistic people, listen to their pessimistic opinions; 22. Keep things simple; 23. Most people's actions are unnecessary. Judgment is key; 24. We are all searching for love and belonging; 25. Solitude is important for mental health; 26. You can just do things; 27. Fuck your circumstances; 28. Be calm, always. Vibe is everything; 29. Guilt is worth nothing. Just learn from it; 30. Be present. Be happy. Now; 31. If you don’t control your feed (or algorithm), your feed controls you (use Nostr); 32. Be able to use force. Without the capacity to use force, you are devoid of agency; 33. Energy moves the world, not money; 34. It’s you. Alone; 35. No state is best state; 36. Hope. Pray. Do; 37. If you want to know who controls you (or wants to control you), ask who you can’t criticize; 38. Do what you love and the right people will come; 39. Fuck FOMO, do FOMM (Fear of missing the moment); 40. Not wanting something is as good as having it; 41. If your life sucks, don’t try to change others; 42. Wake up, be grateful. Go out, be kind.
