Jazz, Freedom, Self Actualization Builder of Software, spending my entire life disproving anything I know.
Theres something about AI that i find boring. I cant put my finger on it, I was excited about the rise of social media, about bitcoin about VR. AI seems like it only exists to increase productivity in non human terms. At least there was something about connecting people through social media, and increasing freedom through bitcoin. LLMs feel like the opposite of that. I am uneasy and a bit uninterested.
#Tunestr How fo you like modern jazz inspired by modern hiphop. Hip Hop is like the ultimate symbol of the transformation we went through in the 90s. Turntables allowed for the beginning of sampling breakbeats. Hype men started improvising words to keep crowds entertained. The sampling of breakbeats got codified into the musical aesthetic and we not only kept sampling, we started making beats that sound like they are sampled. Then that started influencing how people play their instruments, to resemble chopped up samples. Its a beautiful circle.
Its hilarious to see people upset about the #KendrickLamar half time show. One thing about him is that he's probably the greatest artist of our generation. Everything he has done has been layered with meaning, and his performance is something to be stuidied. The same people that say that we're becoming dumber, will criticize a show for being too lame. I'll grant that it wasn't a showy performance, but everything, from the fact that he anticipated and leaned into the fact that people are going to want to hear the hits, and his decision to play newer music, to the symbolism of the flag, prison, Uncle Sam. All of it was calculated in a way that only a great artist can do. It was political commentary done excellently. Usually I'm a fan of keeping politics out of art, but this wasn't propaganda, this was artistic exploration. image
The only honest take for defending #USAID is to defend NeoImperialism from the US.
RFK Jr is right. Every time I've left the US for an extended period of time, I've lost noticeable weight. Every time. There is something in our food, our kids are paying the price. #MAHA
haven't been here in a while. What's the best way to keep up with/distribute music here no #nostr nowadays.
Truths about Elon Musk He's really smart. He's said amtisemitic things. He's a little socially awkward (not to the extreme level of doing a nazi salute and not knowing the social consequences) He did a very intentional Nazi style salute He is part of what is arguably one of the most pro Israel, and pro Israeli influence in Washington precidencys. He does not advocate Nazi polices All that simply leaves me with questions. Previous Nazis accusations implied he's as bad as a Nazis. That salute would imply card carrying Hitler loving nazi. He's not that. I also just don't buy the hand waiving of it was an accident or is just like other stills of people doing that. Possible non exhaustive answers. He really is THAT socially awkward He is seeing where the line is if he shows his true colors (doesn't make sense given this administration and policy proposals) He is signaling to Trumps base that likes that kind of stuff He is an edgelord to the point of crass untastefulness beyond what I comprehend. I lean onto one of the latter two explanations but am not satisfied with either.
