Days like today I am reminded of the two-dishwasher theory whereby you load dishwasher A as you use dishes from dishwasher B and rinse, repeat.
Saves the largely superfluous step of loading clean dishes and cutlery into drawers and cupboards.
Merry Christmas, all.
Part of our Christmas routine is listening to seasonal music on an old analogue AM radio while wrapping presents. Nostalgia is so rewarding.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
Mid-December and these babies are still crisp on the tree. Left a bunch up after harvest for a longer fruit picking season. Love Russets! #foodstr #homesteading
45 years today since this gem was released. One of the holiday staples in our house when I were a lad, along with Indiana Jones and Starwars. So many quotable lines! And that soundtrack, obvs.
It is astonishing how quickly the iron curtain is coming down on freedom in Europe. Mandatory digital ID for social media (“to protect the kids!”) removes the last shreds of anonymous internet use, banking is obviously following with the digital Euro and the curtailment of physical cash. In Europe it’s overt, because the populations allow it, but it’s happening everywhere eventually. Shocking to be living through these times.
Goodness now I’m watching crypto as the only part of these forsaken markets that’s climbing off today’s lows in AH. Not sure what that says about the state we’re in.
FIFA token-based collectables / ticket purchasing for the World Cup: absolute shit show. Site broken, again, with thousands either given tickets for no charge (which will have to be clawed back) or charged and not given ticket rights. Guess which camp yours truly is in.
My market hopium this morning is that Bitcoin led down and is presently holding a (small) bounce up over 90. Solana, a little further down the curve, is up 6%. Stocks still look terrible, though 🫣
No matter how many battles seem to have been won over the past few years, in the war the powers of darkness are still very much in the ascendency. The inexorable grind is relentless.
Can’t believe I went to all the effort of not telling my wife how well our Bitcoin was doing at 124k, because that’s the cast-iron jinx, and the thing went back to five digits anyway.
Apparently merely thinking it is enough.
