You asked and you have received Thanks so much to people that shared feedback on this [new thing I'm building](https://stacker.news/items/1502494). Here's a summary of current fixes: 1. Clean URLs - There are now no more number signs in the community query params. No I know. These are reserved for in-page anchors. I theoretically should have figured this out by now from doing markdown on stacker news, but I didn't. Now I do. :) 2. Dev keys - I wasn't really thinking about this because the app is really supposed to either be used IN the Fedi app or with some other WebLN/nostr combo. Anyway, I now store dev keys in local storage for people that just want to mess around with it. 3. Community Admins - This was kind of a 'duh' situation. I should have done this from the start, but now it's there. The whole thing has one more level of local control for the communities. How this works is now all explained in the how section. 4. Event notifications on nostr - Now it'll keep you posted on nostr when things happen. 5. Tips after the fact - Now if you want to give a little more to a finished project, or tip about a project that you discover already finished, you can! Yay! So...what's next?!? PS - If you're interested in collecting some of the bounties that are already in there for the app group Space, [here is where you'll find an invite to the group](https://stacker.news/items/1489579).

YOU will build the roads. # The Responsibility Poem by Charles Osgood > There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody couldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have. # **You** will build the roads[^1] "That pothole has been there as long as I've lived here!" In her neck of the woods, she's long given up on expecting the government to fix it. She doesn't have an extra $200 to fix something for the whole community though. But then again, she might chip in $12 if somebody else needed the work. So would the guy next door...and the next door down as well. But who's going to collect all those payments? # Traditional financial systems ain't got time for that. But bitcoin does! So I built a community bounty platform in which community members can all chip in (even micropayments) to deliver community needs. ![](https://m.stacker.news/143716) # How it works **1 Someone posts a need.** - Paint the hall. Fix the gate. Clean the lot. Teach a class. **2 Neighbors chip in sats.** - Pledge a small amount. If the work gets done, you pay. **3 A worker claims it.** - They do the job and send proof. **4 Pledgers pay up.** - Everyone who promised sends sats to the worker. # How is this different from @Geyser? With a crowdfunding campaign, the person looking for the funding is the initiator. It's a proven and useful model. This is entirely different. The person who wants the service initiates in this platform. That person just can't, or does't want to pay for the whole project. It also benefits more than just him. So he is calling to arms both those who fund, **and** those who receive the funds through their proof of work. # Bounties already abound Well, I've got one bounty out and have had at least one other person pledge. Naturally, I've included this in my [Fedi Space](https://stacker.news/items/1489579). As a group, we're using the app to get one new member. Would you like to claim that bounty? Maybe you'd just rather contribute to paying someone else to do it. Either way, find the bounty [here]( The pot is adding up! # Bitcoin Mountain If you'd rather not get involved with the group on Fedi, I've created a made up circular economy near Mt. Saint Helens called "Bitcoin Mountain" that you can play around with.[^2] # Benefits in summation 1. Communities (or even families) can get small tasks that are "everybody's job" done without a single angel donor. 2. People can make money on tasks that would have otherwise been unpaid. 3. Bitcoin adoption is encouraged and users slowly escape debasement and censorship. Is this a good idea?! [^1]: or fund them voluntarily [^2]: I know this isn't currently very sybil resistant. I'll make sure to give group creators administrative privileges in this catches on.

Hide a message in an emoji Have you guys seen this yet?! Can anyone explain to me like I'm five how this works? I'm kind of shocked how little is in the encoding.ts file. Here's one of my seed phrases for you to decode: 💯󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞󠄐󠅒󠅑󠅓󠅟󠅞 Have fun getting rich!
