One positive about being early to work every shift is when you don’t show up people get worried you have been in a car wreck or deathly sick.
The same day management forgot to mark me as on vacation. One of our frequent no-shows didn’t show up as well.
I was called by three people.
The other was in the hospital and no one called to find him.

Calls: overdose (unintentional), overdose x2 (U), assault with hot plate, overdose (Intentional), overdose (U), fall lift assist, overdose (I), stabbing (self inflicted), overdose (U), car vs pedestrian in Coffey shop drive through refused transport really wanted police

Calls come in clusters, type and frequency.
Last night 12 falls went out in a row through out the county. Had not had a fall call in 8 hours.
I’m pretty sure gravity did not shift at 0140 for 20 min.
(Do not understand why a nursing home can’t pick someone up when they fall.)
Adding one fire fighter to each truck is about $92 million a year.
Brining EMS up to the same pay as fire fighters is $88 million a year.
Of course priority is fire.
