GM! The Americans get ragged on for a lot of things, but in a popular tourist area walking in Italy, the utter disregard for an elderly person in our company is revealing. Mostly Europeans. This would not happen in the US at anything near this level. Not a chance. Part of it is the area and crowd but there is no excuse for it. Also, unless you step out on a cross walk, they won’t stop to let this person cross. Small town Italians are very friendly if you try to talk with them.

Buongiorno! Crossing my fingers I don’t have speeding fines in the constant autostrada surveillance zones. Also, I haven’t figured out the lay of the driving land. In some places it’s 40 for example and you’re doing close to double and people are still up your tail. Driving is fun but it’s mental compared to North America.
