Fiestas Agostinas (August Festivities) began yesterday, celebrating from August 1-6 in honor of Divino Salvador del Mundo (Divine Savior of the World) It started with the Desfile del Correo (Mail Parade) featuring marching bands, colorful floats, characters rooted in traditional Salvadoran mythology "Viejos de Agosto", and dancers. my favorite beaches in Surf City 2 on the east coast of El Salvador: •Playa El Toro (beautiful long stretch of beach with distant mountain views, soo many palm trees behind the beach) •La Ventana (connects to El Toro, has a little cave that you can go in at low tide) •Playa Las Flores (backed by cliffs, only good at low tide but really nice)
