The Golden Era of Play-to-Earn. 🎮💰 I still remember the pandemic days when Play-to-Earn games gave so many of us hope. During the lockdown, many people lost their jobs, and going outside was heavily restricted. Yet, from the comfort of our homes, we found a way to earn while enjoying the games we loved. I was fortunate to receive several scholarships and play games like Axie Infinity, CryptoBlades, VulcanVerse, EVA Verse, and Plants vs. Undead. These weren’t just games they became a source of income that helped many families get through one of the toughest times in recent history. One memory I’ll never forget was when a typhoon hit our community. Thanks to the income we earned from Play to Earn, my family, friends, and I were able to prepare and distribute relief goods to our community. That experience reminded me that P2E wasn’t just about making money it gave us the opportunity to help others when they needed it most. But sadly P2E didn’t last long🥹 Many P2E projects couldn’t survive because their economies became unsustainable. Too many players focused on earning rewards, while fewer new players and buyers entered the ecosystem. Token inflation, bots, multi-accounting, abuse of scholarship systems, and weak economic design caused rewards to lose their value. As earnings declined, many players left, making it even harder for these projects to survive. Despite everything, I’ll always be grateful for that era. Play to Earn gave hope, created opportunities, and helped countless families during a time when the world felt uncertain. Maybe the first generation of P2E is gone, but I still believe the future of Webb gaming is bright. The lessons learned from those early projects can help build games that are more enjoyable, more sustainable, and more rewarding for everyone. To everyone who experienced the P2E games you know it was more than just a game. It became a lifeline. ❤️🎮 How about you guys did you guys ever play any Play to Earn games back then?
