This idea of American imperialism for national security seems ironic when there’s rampant crime and illegal migration already inside the U.S. while Mexico is owned by cartels who are seemingly allowed to continue their operations. Regime change in Libya, the invasion of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan were all disasters so it’s hard to believe the takeover of Venezuela could have the opposite result.
