I love people. We are awesome.

I would hate to work at something I don't take personal pride in. However much I'm paid. Because prideless work is soul destroying. I have never had to do any work in my life which I was not proud of. And that includes the many hours of babysitting, waitressing, hotel house-keeping and supermarket shelf-filling jobs of my youth. Because I've never had to spend my time and energy on a bullshit job. Eternally grateful for this.

We will see a glorious rise in real craftsmanship.

Everyone believes they are doing the right thing.

"Emotional maturity is being able to have the difficult conversations." This sentence sent my body in to spasm. Which means nail on head. Well in to my 50s and still so often emotionally in my 00s. There's still so much work to do. You never stop learning. Life is beautiful like that.

Employee = slave

Marvellous couple of weeks with eldest daughter and grandson in one country. Now off to visit youngest son in another. My offspring enrich my life. They always have. The hard, hard physical work of the early years and the decade of disrupted sleep was so worth it. As was/is the emotional work when they are older. Motherhood is pure low time preference. Time and energy. That's what counts. Life, with all its ups and downs, is simply magical. What a journey.

It must be exhausting to never be satisfied. We sure do like to complicate our human experience.

Instead of starting the day with a to 'do' list, I'm going to start the day with a to 'be' list. I am, after all a human 'being'. Once I have established how I want to 'be' that day, (calm, inspired, excited, lazy, productive, sociable ...) then can come the to 'do' list to make my to 'be' happen.

Women have been invading men's spaces for decades. In the name of feminism. In the name of equality. Be careful what you wish for. Brotherhoods are sacred too.

So grateful for my grandson's Russian babulya for all the hand-knitted made with love clothing. Dying skill.

Technology has made us weak.
