It has been such an amazing experience attending the Women of Bitcoin Summit. Listening to different perspectives on Bitcoin has been incredibly eye opening, and one session that really stood out for me was about Bitcoin mining. For a long time, many people have seen mining as something speculative, but one of the speakers explained it in a way that completely shifted my perspective: mining should be seen as infrastructure. Bitcoin mining is a way of creating digital value and security for the network, but it also interacts with the physical world in powerful ways. Companies like Gridless are already showing how this can work in Africa. By partnering with small hydro and other renewable energy projects, they are helping bring electricity to underserved communities while using excess power to mine Bitcoin. In places like Malawi and many other African countries where energy access is still limited, this model can be transformative. One idea that really stayed with me was how mining converts electricity into different layers of value, • Electricity → Security Bitcoin mining turns energy into security for the network by protecting it through proof-of-work. • Flexibility → Resilience Mining is one of the most flexible energy users. Unlike many industries, miners can easily power down when electricity is needed elsewhere, which can actually help stabilize energy systems. • Energy → Trust Through mining, energy is transformed into a globally verifiable monetary network that anyone can rely on. Another powerful point was about the criticism that Bitcoin mining wastes energy. In reality, much of Bitcoin mining uses stranded or wasted energy energy that would otherwise never be used because it is too far from demand centers or produced in excess. Mining can capture that unused energy and convert it into economic value, while also creating open and competitive energy markets. For me, this session reinforced something important: Bitcoin is not just digital money. It is a system that connects energy, technology, and economic freedom in ways that can unlock real opportunities for communities around the world. image

Teaching about Bitcoin is like spreading the gospel bringing the lost sheep back to where they belong. It is about freeing people from chains they have carried for so long, from systems that gave them no hope, stole their time, and wasted their energy. Money should be treated with respect. It is spiritual. It changes lives. It should never be controlled by authorities who put their own interests and emotions above the needs of the people. That is not good money that is a tool of oppression. But now, there is a solution,Bitcoin. A decentralized technology and monetary asset. Censorship resistant. Borderless. Permissionless. A form of money that brings freedom and protects human rights. In many ways, advocating for Bitcoin is advocating for people’s dignity, sovereignty, and financial independence. Malawians, Africans, and people everywhere deserve the power to hold their own non custodial wallets and take full control of their money.

Tonight’s class by Stacey Biko of Bitcoin Dada was truly amazing. I have learnt about what I love the most "wallets" because at the end of the day, wallets are all about money, specifically how we access Bitcoin. I learnt about the different types of wallets and what private keys, public keys, and seed phrases really mean. I finally understand the difference between custodial and non custodial wallets. I have learnt that custodial wallets are controlled by a third party or central authority and that custodial wallets are fully controlled by you. You are responsible for everything, and if you lose your seed phrase, you cannot recover your Bitcoin.I have also learnt the importance of backing up and properly storing your private keys and seed phrase. If you don’t keep them safe, you lose access and when they’re gone, your Bitcoin is gone too. Imagine so far Bitcoin equivalent to 140 billion USD has been lost due to one losing the private keys. Another interesting part was learning about multisignature wallets, which require multiple private keys to approve a transaction. This adds an extra layer of security because no single person or device can move the Bitcoin alone.Tonight’s session was truly eye opening, and I’m excited to keep learning! image

2026 looks so bright and beautiful because of the incredible Bitcoin communities I’ve come across. And among them, Bitcoin Dada Kenya truly deserves deep respect. They have become a real inspiration standing strong for African women and pushing us to dream, think, imagine, and become through Bitcoin education and digital skills. Bitcoin Dada is the motivation every African woman needs today. It carries values, vision, and a deep commitment to shaping not just a moment but generations. There is so much Ubuntu spirit in this sisterhood holding each other up, trusting each other, telling one another, “Sister, get up and change your situation.” Bitcoin Dada says to the African woman, “It is time to open your eyes to this new Bitcoin technology.” “Sister, this is the financial system that can take you out of the mud, out of disappointment, out of constant worry." African women are being empowered in ways we haven’t seen before. And with Bitcoin Dada’s classes, we will never again be the African women people used to underestimate. We will stand tall. We will impact lives. We will let our actions speak louder than words. And above all, we will share this knowledge with more African women, because empowerment grows stronger when it is passed on. Thank you, Bitcoin Dada, for the inspiration, the knowledge, and the empowerment. Backward never. Forward ever. image

I really loved how one of the speakers in the Bitcoin Today space ended his remarks. He said he’s finally found a community he belongs to after ten years of feeling misunderstood being told he wasn’t thinking right and even losing relationships along the way. Yet here we are today with Bitcoin, something mathetically and provably sound, something we can stand behind. It reminds us that we need to hold hands, open more eyes, and help people see how long we’ve been oppressed by taxes and inflation. It’s time to say “no more” and choose a better path.

My Journey as a YakiHonne Ambassador As my ambassador role with YakiHonne comes to an end this month, I can confidently say this experience has been nothing short of transformative. Being part of this incredible ecosystem has allowed me to connect, learn, and grow in ways I never imagined. What truly stood out for me was the networking meeting brilliant minds from across the world, exchanging ideas, and understanding how Web3 communities thrive through collaboration. YakiHonne didn’t just give me a platform; it gave me a community, a voice, and meaningful relationships that I will carry forward. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute, engage, and represent a project that values connection, innovation, and impact. This role has expanded my perspective, sharpened my skills, and strengthened my passion for building in the decentralized world. So this month end I will walk away inspired, connected, and proud to have been part of this journey. YakiHonne will always remain a meaningful chapter in my Web3 story.

Bitcoin was not created to necessarily make anyone rich but it was created because the traditional financial system is broken, corrupt.

In Africa, you cannot talk about human rights without addressing the realities of vulnerable girls living in underserved communities and facing challenges to remain in school. Education is a fundamental right, yet so many girls are still left behind. There is so much more that needs to be done.

I feel like this is the right time for Bitcoin education or rather the entire history of money to be taught from primary school to secondary and then more advanced at tertiary level. Our children deserve to understand financial language, money language, and ultimately Bitcoin language. This is the time to introduce small computer labs in all schools so children can learn digital skills early and grow up ready to contribute to open source innovation. There is so much work to be done, and it starts with you and I.

Today was such an amazing second day lesson at Bitcoin Dada. Femi a dedicated entrepreneur passionate about changing the world through sound money gave an eye opening presentation on the history of money, especially in the African context. He explained how money has evolved from barter, exchanging oranges for carrots, to commodity money like shells,to gold, to minted coins such as silver and gold, to representative money, and eventually to printed money with no backing. He highlighted how, during the gold era, central authorities held people’s gold and issued receipts. But over time, they began printing more money than the gold they held a system that fully broke in 1971. This shift led to inflation and raised concerns globally. Femi clearly showed how this system has negatively affected African countries: • concentrating power in one central authority that can print money at will, • benefiting the state while impoverishing citizens through inflation, • and limiting African trade, collaboration, and opportunity because of unstable state issued currencies. The solution? Bitcoin. Introduced through the 2008 white paper and brought to life with the first block in 2009, Bitcoin offers: • borderless money, • no central authority, • security through a global network of computers, • open participation for everyone, • resistance to corruption, • and value based on consensus, not manipulation. Bitcoin empowers every human being, anywhere. No permission needed. No gatekeepers. It has truly been an eye opening session. I’m grateful to be part of a community that is reshaping Africa’s understanding of money and building hope through Bitcoin education. 💛🧡⚡ image

Money is such a sophisticated tool that facilitates communication between two total strangers, speaking different languages but agreeing on value, trade, and exchange. It allows communication between the future and the present.

I’m the kind of person who will help as many school dropouts return to class, even when I don’t yet know where the school materials will come from. But somehow, it always works out. They always find their way back.

How do I get to campaign for a girl centred design program called Girl Think Initiative where we are bringing back girls to schools in Malawi and is currently under Women of Satoshi Cooperative. We are supporting these girls through their communities by building circular economies, teaching Bitcoin Education and we are also looking for support for building small computer labs in public primary and secondary schools where they can learn about Bitcoin in general and also learn about Bitcoin development.

Let's look at the state fiduciary currencies, why at the first place are just printed without anything to back them off just like how godsmiths initially did with holding gold and issuing receipts as proof of the gold kept. These fiduciary currencies are ofcourse portable and easy to use but they do not have any intrinsic value hence we are here preaching about Bitcoin.
