Any situation in your life where you are not happy with the result is being run by an internal hamster wheel. On that deepest level, the wheel programming is trying to keep you safe. Like a super sophisticated defence system. Let's say you want more clients in your business and it's bothering you. When you go within, admin mode, and start to really watch the thoughts around the lack of clients… you will find one wheel that is really running the show. You may feel unable to find new clients. Or feel scared you will be unable to pay the bills. The Able/Unable wheel. Or you may think what you are doing is not good enough. The Right/Wrong wheel. Could be simply the Gain/Loss wheel. Or maybe underneath it all you are feeling unable because you need to get people to pay attention to you and that bothers you. The Attention/Ignore wheel. Deep down you don't feel "worth" it. When you dig down to the deepest wheel, you know when you've found it because that wheel will elicit the most triggers, the most emotions. This is the great art of watching and understanding your behaviours. Your wheels. The greatest life hack of them all. I'm creating a course that explains this deeper so you can learn to do it for yourself. I'll keep you updated for when it's ready. Rob image

What high performers refuse to look at... I had a new client last week. High level business owner, smart, driven, on the ball. I knew I had to be on top form because that's how they do things. Perfectionist. Any client like this is a little apprehensive before starting. I think they feel they're admitting they're weak and unable. This is exactly the opposite. I told him we're going to do this session as performance enhancement work, partly to ease him in, but also because it's exactly that. A session to make him perform better. However, I'm not showing him techniques to improve what he's already excellent at. I'm looking to find where he has blind spots in his mental framework that are impeding him and making him suffer. You see, if a leader or CEO is brought into a new business or brings a troubleshooter into their own business, they want to find out what's going on under the hood. What's efficient and what's not going well. This is critical to the success of the business. The best at this are extremely valuable and are paid as such. But here's the pattern I observe. When it comes to the CEO looking for what's efficient within them and what's not going well, they usually suppress that info for fear of finding a structural fault or weakness they're ashamed of. Top achievement execs are like soldiers. They never stop, mainly bulletproof, until the wheel spins full circle and they crash. Or create too much imbalance in their lives and it affects their family. Not high performance. I've seen many businesses and sports teams rot from within because an individual's internal problems are ignored. At the end of the session, I watched my client, calm, completely attentive. He was seeing such valuable information about how he operates and where his traps lie. I felt huge gratitude for being able to do this work. He now knows why certain things are so profoundly painful, why he finds it difficult to be satisfied, and why he's trapped by old internal operating systems. All I have to do is show him the facts and data. That is the healing. He is also extremely intelligent because he is doing the most valuable work - not only for his himself but also for his business and those around him. The truth will set you free. If you're interested in finding out why you have certain troubles in your life, either physical or non-physical, or you simply want to re-find enjoyment in your life and work, get in touch. The world's highest intelligence is nature. Medicine, from medi, meaning to bring to centre, and cine, from the ancient sin, not the interpretation of moral failing, but the archer's term: to miss the mark. True medicine, then, is the art of returning to centre all the ways we have strayed from our own nature. This is the way. image

Which wheel are you running? I built a quiz that identifies which of the 5 hamster wheels is running your life. Takes 3 minutes. Most people are surprised by their result. They think they know their pattern - then the quiz shows them something they'd been blind to. Suddenly they realise why they always do things a certain way. Why certain things annoy them. Why the same situations keep triggering them. Take it here: https://www.glitchthebook.co/quiz Rob

It's been one hell of a Christmas break and new year already. I spent a relaxing time in Germany and felt the need to retreat from social media and emails. I watched my paying attention/ignore wheel bobbing up and down, urging me to post, but in watching it and understanding its true nature, conditioned in childhood, it calmed down and I went back to more solitude and time close to my family. I have just returned from another trip to the UK to stay with some dear friends. They are very awake to the times we live in and I spent most of my stay listening to their thoughts and wisdom. They live in accordance with the sun (or lack of it as it pissed it down daily). When the sun sets they use red lights and a fire for light and this induced a wonderful relaxation where we were in bed by 8pm. This meant we were up early and within a few days, we were enjoying this new balance with nature routine. We are now back in Madeira and have set up our place with the same lighting and it's so peaceful and energising for the day. The UK was also interesting for my work. Whilst I was in Germany over Christmas, we watched the Chronicles of Narnia. In one of the scenes the kids are dropped off at a train station and the sign caught my attention... Tring. This rang a bell as I had visited many years before to speak with a world renowned ballet dancer there. I remembered this with warmth as we got on really well and our approaches to performance were very similar. Back to our recent trip to the UK, I was driving through a little village we stayed in and I saw a signpost for Tring, being the next village on. This struck me and I got that sense that this was not a coincidence (they don't exist). So that evening I reached out to the teacher and said I was in the next village for the week. He immediately got back to me and during a call asked if I would be interested in lecturing for the oldest ballerinas. That week I visited the prestigious school twice with my girls, who were thrilled to sit in on ballet auditions. My girls haven't stopped leaping around the house since. I am so excited to have this opportunity arise, my creative juices are flowing again in creating a possible ground-breaking syllabus including hamster wheel work, meridians, four element theory and high performance conditioning. Looking back I knew that in being quiet and deepening my understanding of how my mind/body works would enable me to see more clearly what makes me come alive. The signs are there when we are still and understand how our beautiful world works.
