I feel like locking up a few sats and seeing who on Nostr can recover the wallet first.

Explaining Bitcoin puts the giver in charge.
A Bitcoin puzzle with real coins inside removes the giver entirely.
You hand it over. They follow the instructions. They either complete it or they don’t.
There’s no lecture, no debate, and no shortcut.
That’s why it works.
I built a Bitcoin gift where the recipient unlocks a wallet by solving a series of puzzles.
Each puzzle reveals four seed words.
The wallet already contains Bitcoin.
But the wallet is designed to be emptied. The recipient has to create their own wallet and send the Bitcoin.
That first send is the lesson.
Many think Bitcoin is learned by receiving it.
I don’t think so.
Bitcoin becomes real the first time you send it from a wallet you own the keys to.
Everything before that is explanation.
Introductions that avoid that moment delay understanding.
I was invited to a Kris Kringle dinner with my partner.
We wanted to give Bitcoin, but handing someone 12 words on paper felt careless.
So we built a puzzle where the words of the seed phrase are unlocked by solving something.
The wallet already has bitcoin inside.
The only way to keep it is to take self-custody.
That’s when I realised this wasn’t just a gift, it was a better introduction to Bitcoin.
