What organizes human life?

I just did a quick study of what is happening astrologically around Bitcoin. Some of this may sound unusual, but this is how these charts are read: through archetypes, cycles, and the relationships between them. Here is my take. Bitcoin is entering a period in which its original purpose is being tested. Its chart carries a strong impulse toward sovereignty, direct experience, and the search for truth beyond inherited authority. Over the past few years, Neptune has been moving across this part of the chart, dissolving the mythology surrounding Bitcoin and gradually exposing the distance between what Bitcoin is and what people project onto it. We are beginning to see the real picture, and I suspect there are more bones in the closet waiting to emerge. At the same time, Pluto is placing enormous pressure on the part of Bitcoin’s chart associated with power, control, institutions, and structural transformation. This suggests intensifying struggles over who defines Bitcoin, who benefits from it, and who attempts to redirect its purpose. The technology may remain intact while the meaning attached to it changes profoundly. Uranus is also moving through the area of the chart connected with networks, collective intelligence, and social movements. It is shaking up the patterns through which the collective understands Bitcoin. New interpretations are emerging rapidly, and the conversation surrounding Bitcoin may become increasingly fragmented. The central question is whether people still understand why Bitcoin exists, what makes it money, and what separates it from the financial structures it was created to challenge. The current nodal cycle is activating Bitcoin’s Venus, which represents value, exchange, attraction, and relationships. This places the nature of value itself at the center of the evolutionary process. The collective is being asked to distinguish between Bitcoin’s essential monetary properties and the narratives, financial products, personalities, institutions, and political interests that have accumulated around it. The Full Moon on July 29 makes this particularly visible. The Sun and Jupiter align with Bitcoin’s South Node and Ascendant, while the Moon and Pluto fall across the relationship axis. This can amplify the existing identity of Bitcoin while simultaneously confronting it with powerful external interests, alliances, contracts, and competing agendas. Venus will also be sitting on Bitcoin’s Saturn in the second house, the part of the chart directly connected with money, value, resources, and material security. This calls for discernment regarding Bitcoin’s structure as money. What gives it value? What makes it different? Which principles are foundational? Are those principles still being communicated clearly? Venus and Saturn also form a tense relationship with Mars and Ceres in the area of the chart connected with the collective and the distribution of information. I read this as an opportunity for the Bitcoin community to examine how Bitcoin is being explained, packaged, promoted, and understood. The collective has to ask whether it is communicating Bitcoin as money or slowly turning it into something else. The eclipse on August 12 intensifies the same theme. The Sun and Jupiter will again activate Bitcoin’s South Node and Ascendant shortly after Jupiter’s opposition to Pluto. This can magnify Bitcoin’s established identity and bring power struggles into sharper focus. Something from its history, original purpose, or unresolved past may return and demand attention. The second eclipse on August 28 appears less consequential to me. The first eclipse carries the stronger message. All of this feels preparatory for the larger cycle approaching at the end of 2027 and into 2028, when Pluto reaches Bitcoin’s nodal axis. In evolutionary astrology, this can indicate an irreversible transformation of direction and purpose. I do not read it as Bitcoin simply continuing along the path it has followed until now. I see the possibility of the entire concept of the technology being transformed through its encounter with governments, corporations, institutional capital, political power, and the desires of the collective. If Bitcoin survives this period with its purpose and principles intact, it will emerge stronger. Otherwise, this is only the beginning of a much larger struggle over power, control, and the meaning of Bitcoin itself. This is why we have to be very clear about what we want Bitcoin to become, what makes it money, and why we Bitcoin. 🍿
