Week 3 Day 2 for Memorial Day Murph prep.
5x25 pushups
5x40 squats with 20 lb vest
4x5 pull ups
2x3 pull ups with 20 lb vest
Used a ChatGPT training plan for a 5K training cycle. Seemed pretty effective.
Went from a base of 2 miles in 18:24 to a full 5K run in 22:28.
Goal was sub 22, but that was a long shot, especially since I averaged about 6 hours of sleep a night. Probably with a few more months of training could get that run time sub 21:00.
Not too bad for a 46 year old dude.
This week started training for a Murph on Memorial Day for a fundraiser. Should go well, but those squats wreck that last mile for sure.
