Every notification - mentions, replies, DMS, zaps - is now generated on your own device, from your own relay. No third party, not us, not Apple, not Google, ever sees that you got a message. Also in this one: Picture-in-Picture video on both platforms, and a stack of relay/sync reliability fixes that had been silently dropping some replies and reactions. Your notifications shouldn't need a middleman. Every push notification you get; from basically every app, has to pass through Apple or Google's servers to reach your phone. Even some "private" apps often run their own push relay that has to see enough of your messages to build the notification text. Either way: someone, somewhere, now has a timestamped record of who's contacting you, how often, and about what. Nostr Vault doesn't do that. There is no push server. None.
