Today I spent the day investigating how good AI is at porting old code. I chose a relatively complex Windows 32 bit application I wrote 20 years ago in Delphi (Object Pascal) that uses an Access database backend. Porting it to a modern web based architecture. Doing this by hand would take 9-12 months by my estimate once all the unit testing and other stuff is done. End of day one. It's not there yet. Still generating source code, but I'm guessing it's about halfway. Whether it compiles and runs is another story 😂
