My last day at the Poker festival today. Satellite for the Main didn't work out. Down to my last game, got several hours off to chill, then back at it.

I had a great start, then lost a lot of pots. Typical tournament. Sometimes it goes like that. Now to enjoy.

First event, blind vs black and, getting run over. Decided to call. And trips vs higher trips. Cooler bust, that's fine. I was short at 10BB.

First event over, back tomorrow for another go. Evening off to enjoy the poker craic area, or some pub...

The buyin I'm aiming for is the Mini Irish Open 250 euro, 1M GTD. Need hella lot of luck for that one. Time to play well run good.

And of course the final day of the Irish Poker Open is 6th April. I have Dentures mould appointment early 7th April. Life changing moment.

After indifferent week online. Two job opportunities falling through. Off to the big one this weekend. The Irish Poker Open. Last played in 2011, and that takes me back. Only staying for few days to give me a taste, and if I make Day 2s, then comeback for next weekend. Don't have a seat for the Main Event, 1150 euro 2.5M GTD. But sure to play a satellite for it, to get in cheaper. The craic will be insane from what I remember of this event in the past. Poker is bringing me back and introducing me to new people, who are understanding of my story.

After a day of poker, eases the mind having a few drinks. And if course getting out the house. Had an interview for a job this morning. Hopefully that comes through. We'll see.

With all these live poker events, feels like I'm half and half living at home and hotel.

Back in town for 2 nights of poker. Played the 100, actually used 110, 10 for the league. 3 places paid on the 1500 gtd, overlay. Got 4 handed, fellas asked for bubble prize - said no, not my style. Here to win. Playing for 740, cashed second for 450. Good nights work. Beers now. Tomorrow, the main game, 150 in for 10k gtd, at least 85 people.

I've earned it. Live poker tournaments can be long hours.
