Decided to go back to Windows. Very tricky to say the least. Old poker accounts trying to get access. Transferring ext4 files from Linux to NTFS for windows. A pain. Using a live Linux USB to transfer files over. We'll see if this works.

For instance, when I fail to make Day 2 of the Main Event, in a series. Then just chill out, and enjoy a day off before the travel back.

Need to plan out my next steps poker wise. Over played too many events in Cork. Adjust, to Max 3 bullets in the main event. Or if higher buyin , then 2 bullets Max. Don't chase more events either. I've got all weekend, after all. More games to come in the future.

So my profits from Limerick, payed for the Cork games. In the main event, bust level 16, end of day 1. About 100 left. Fired 4 bullets. Too many. Should keep to two bullets for 250/300 buyins. Then for 200 and under three bullets. Just in main event only. Side events are one bullet only. And took 600 with me to Limerick. That score, payed for ALL the games I played in Cork. Got value. The second afternoon bullet was incorrect. Was already playing the morning main. So lesson learned. Keep to one game per day. Or with hours between efforts. Since these live tournaments take hours and hours of concentration.

Travelling back home today. What a bank holiday weekend playing live poker. Played the PLO 4/5 tournament. Only 7 of us. 3 of them re bought in 5 or 6 times. Swelled the prize pool. Won a crucial 6 way all in on flop with s monster 4 of my 5 cards giving me a wrap straight draw. Went runner runner nuts low straight. In truth, any of my 4 cards given me straight. Had all the chips. Total fish at PLO. Blind potted under gun... Played it drunk. So much fun. In the end, 2 pay. They asked for 3rd place bubble, I said no. I.bubbled. Pot flop with top pair, wrap straight draw, and nuts flush draw. Then turn flush paired board. Pot turn caused me all in. Drawing dead vs full house. Didn't notice that paired board since I ESS drunk. So much fun. Letting hair down. Planing future poker

Last day in Cork, just the monster stack to play, then the long travel back home. Some changes to be made. Thinking of more live poker. That means to pay for them, I need satellites. The online variety. Tried installing them if CachyOS, but not working. So, back to Windows.... If I want to play online, I need all the stats and a database. I don't had that currently. To further my advancement, all the software works in windows. Would need to double down on my bitcoin security though. 50/50

Even though I went over budget. Played 4 bullets in the main. My strategy is only 2 bullets Max. The first one was the 20 last longer ticket So that one counts for free. 20 to play the 250. Played 3 bullets then. One over my limit. The middle day 1 I played down to tilt. Mind was fried. Already played for 6 hours, and I had another 9 hours to go. Today, hyper for main. Mind fresh. 80x, 15 minute blinds. I know short stack inside out. But for hypers, you need 400x or 100k.... Would be taking a punt for shot at big payday. Otherwise monster stack in the afternoon. If I play the hyper for the main. Withdrawing the amount from my online profits. Of the 3.8k USD score. Currently at 3.4k balance

Then, two hands I played, I will review. When all in within 5 to 10 seconds of both. -------------- First hand, in the free day 1. Short utg+1, 17bb, I jam all in with AA. The table playing passive aggressive. Meaning, let them call with worse. So if I get many calls, then so be it. I should have raised 3bb of my 17bb stack. So if i get 2 or 3 callers, pot be close to 10bb, easy shove on any flop with my 14bb. -------------- Second hand, in the evening day 1, early. I have 70bb in the small blind with KK. Open from bully to 2.5x, btn makes it 7.5x, I cold 4bet snap jam 70x. Making it look like AK. Both the button and myself, getting owned by the bully. Lost about 10k of our 40k stacks. Not a big deal at this stage. Plenty of play. So, instead, i should have made it 17x to 20x, which oozes strength, and probably makes the bully fold his JJ. The btn now has a decision with his AKs. 50/50 decusion between all in or fold. Since btn and myself have similar stacks. I probably take the pot down ore flop, or take all the btns stack. Board ran out J high. --------- So the in game decisions incorrect, but not wrong. Need to play the table better. With the AA hand, open raise 3x normal speed, then jam any flop. With the KK hand, Take some time, 30 seconds or more then cold 4bet between 15x to 21x. Then, whatever happens, I've played the table meta correctly. --------- Overall, happy with my play, lack of experience of in game meta, since away from the game for years. Back live and online one month.

There's a poker tournament series coming up Paddy's weekend. 100 in for 100k gtd. Meaning at least 1316 people. 76 + 24, rake is huge, edge is small. People saying a crapshoot. We'll see. Other one day events in Athlone and Carrick upcoming. Then some bigger games and series in the summer.

So straight after busting the morning day 1 yesterday, I jumped straight into the afternoon day 1. A tilt decision. Think, wait, patience, take a break of hours. Then decide. Will learn. First poker tournament series since 2014.

This poker tournament series not going to plan. My free ticket ended last level day 1. Played the following mornings day 1, got unlucky. Shouldn't have jumped straight into the afternoon day 1, but I did. Tired, exhausted, bad play. Took a break, and food, played the evening day 1, and got shafted out if it. KK vs JJ vs AK. J turn. And the opener , ran into a bigger hand. Got the monster stack to play. Mind not in correct frame, aka thinking through decisions. All in all, heard a comment on my first day 1, that these series are too long. Meaning gap between day 1 and day 2. I tend to agree. Its exhausting, these long hours of concentration, but that's to be paid expected. Solution, instead of coming down Thursday for the start of play Friday, and leave Tuesday. Come down Saturday for only Sunday and Monday, then leave Tuesday.
