These usually come in the form of ads, intro music/graphics, programming notices, and small talk. My semi-scientific average of the time this takes up is 3-6 minutes. I'd received several recommendations for Sam Harris's podcast. I tried listening to an episode. There were 22 minutes of dull ramblings until he finally got to the topic with his interviewee. How do you listen to that?
