Have any musicians here been through a copyright lawsuit? I had to go through one with a label when I was just starting out. It drained my spirit in every way. Ended up having to sell my rights in the end anyways. The lawyer I was working with was generous and didn’t charge me as a “welcome to the industry” lesson. Had he done so, I would have been in debt. It’s my belief that the current copyright/IP law is meant to serve major artists and labels with the resources.
I reactivated Instagram to share the news about the Spotify backup and engage with my musical peers about what comes next.

There’s lots of relevant discussion happening on this Hacker News thread, yet no mention of what’s happening here from what I’ve read. I haven’t chimed in yet. If any Nostriches want to engage I think it could be insightful. Could be a good time to introduce some folks to @Stacker News in the process.
