Got sucked into a new side project. Day two. Getting impatient with my crustacean. The prototype still isn't a product.
We'll teach coding to our kids out of nostalgia. It'll be seen as something like knitting. Old people do it but machines are better at it.
I want to buy a new AI business domain name and can't find the .slop TLD ๐Ÿ˜•
@PayPerQ I love you're also offering TTS and STT apis! That's almost enough for a new project I'm working on. What I also would need for that project but also for openclaw is a bitcoin payable search api.
"History is written by the victors", right? Maybe it is an evolutionary mechanism to shed guilt. A society paralyzed by objective truth loses to one with a cohesive "we rock" narrative. You don't need to mass-murder the defeated to win the past; you simply need cultural exports strong enough to make the world accept your story as the closure humans crave.
#askNostr Which nostr client shows a note in its **full context** like Xitter does? When somebody shares a note I want to understand how they got there with the full reply chain to the original root note with optionally whatever forks out in the end (all replies to the final note) but without any other replies to upstream notes. image Jumble hints at the thread but only provides the first words of the root post, ellipses out any number of follow-ups, hints at what was replied to and shows the selected post in the same style as replies to it. On Xitter the font of the selected one is bigger for focus and it shows all the full posts (unless exceptionally long). image NoStrudel does it better by collapsing long notes that are easy to expand but it's collapsing too aggressively, so expanding in half the cases throws the fully visible line on a newline instead of the same as the avatar. This might be optimized for mobile or something. Maybe if the full note is visible, hide the expand button? So this is getting close to how I would want it. image YakiHonne in comparison when "showing history" :/ image Coracle actually has what I want but browsing my feed with replies makes it super verbose - that one reply fills my full screen height on the laptop: image and when I click the note it's still 2 more clicks to see the thread: "show thread" "7 more notes". Xitter does that better than any of those. In the feed, just the reply with one message as context and when clicking that message, it appears at the top of the screen and you can scroll up to see the full thread or down to see all replies. I'm glad I did not come across what I thought some of the nostr clients were doing earlier in that hey would show the root note with all conversations, focusing the selected note, making it impossible to scroll through the conversation.
