I like potatoes because you can basically do whatever the fuck you want with them and it usually turns out okay. I.e. I stuck some curry paste in my mashed potatoes recently and sauteed some vaguely Asian vegetables to go on top of one of my steaks recently and it was phenomenal.

roommate sent me down a steak sandwich rabbit hole and now I'm trying to recreate Mac's steak sandwich from the Dresden Files. The author has not told anyone what's in the sandwich and fans are only speculating on what like a classic Chicago steak sandwich is like Based off of long-standing Chicago restaurants that have done steak sandwiches.
