β€œI used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.” - Robin Williams
A year ago i received this DM β€œHello there. I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Would you be so kind as to post a message for me from your account? I want to share this message, but can't bring myself to post it from my personal account...” I don’t check DMs on this npub since it’s not my personal but today i checked out of curiosity for the very first time and was amazed at what some have sent.. this one in particular is interesting because of the nature of the message, thought id share it with you all as it was intended. β€œI met the girl of my dreams in the fall of 2019. At the time we were living in the same neighborhood. Life was light and beautiful. We fell in love, and I couldn't believe my good fortune to be able to spend time with another soul like her. Gorgeous inside and out. I've never loved another person as much as I loved her, and yet, it didn't work out between us. 3 years gone in the blink of an eye. I can't describe the pain and the grief that came when we separated for good. It was like I fell into a deep, dark pit of despair. A crushing weight held me down for months. I couldn't breathe, really. I was in shock. My world went blank. I lost my mind. To this day, 3 years later, I still think about her often and see her in my dreams. I wonder why she isn't in my life and don't have any good answers. Maybe I will never "get over" her. Maybe she will always be the love of my life. No matter how much I try to move on, no matter how much I distract myself, the lost feeling of her love and warmth leaves me longing. What am I even doing here on this planet? I am at a loss as to how I will ever feel as I did when I was with her. The hardest thing I've ever had to do was learn how to live again without her by my side. I worry that I'm darker now. Bitter. Closed off. Going through the motions most days. I didn't know the price I would have to pay for the joy I experienced with her. And as costly as that has been, I would pay it again 1,000 times over for the love I felt.”
The aesthetics of this movie are immaculate Excalibur (1981) is an epic dark medieval fantasy film directed, co-written and produced by John Boorman, that retells the legend of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, based loosely on the 15th-century Arthurian romance Le Morte d'Arthur by Thomas Malory.
